Victor C90 Badminton shoe review

Looks like a gold medal. Moves like it just won one in curling

Introduction

Victor C90 NitroLite arrives on court with the swagger of a high-end sports car... but with the turning radius of a garden shed. According to Victor, this is a fast, cushioned, all-round shoe. According to my feet, it's mostly built for comfort and stability – and about as aerodynamic as a foot spa.

This is a shoe for players who like the idea of speed... but prefer to arrive stylishly late to the shuttle.

First Impressions & Design

Let's get one thing clear: the C90 is not here to blend in. With a blinding mix of white and gold, it looks like the result of a royal wedding between a luxury trainer and a badminton nerd. The mesh upper has a flashy, almost designer vibe – bold, unconventional, and a little bit "I hope these match my grip".

It's a visually striking shoe. Whether that's a good thing depends entirely on how humble you are.

Comfort & Fit

Comfort? Oh yes. Sliding your foot into the C90 feels like being hugged by a very enthusiastic orthopedic mattress. It's soft, stable, and cushioned like a five-star resort for ankles.

Fit-wise, it's noticeably roomier than other Victor shoes. I wear a size 43 in most Victors – and in these, my foot took a scenic tour inside. Great if you've got broader feet, less great if you enjoy feeling like your shoes are part of your anatomy.

Weight & Movement

Victor claims the C90 is a perfect blend of "lightweight speed and comfort". I'd describe it more as "built like a tank, but a very polite one".

It feels solid and durable on the court – but quick? Not quite. It's not the shoe for frantic drive rallies or lightning cuts across the net. You'll move, sure... but in the same way a sofa might roll downhill if you give it a push.

Shock Absortion & Cushioning

Now this is where the shoe earns its medals. The NitroLite midsole delivers cushioning like a trampoline made of marshmallows. Your knees will write you thank-you notes after every match.

Lunges, jumps, last-ditch reaches? All feel supported and comfortably absorbed. The shoe does everything to make sure you don't have to cancel your knees before your next birthday.

Conclusion: Comfortably over-engineered. A shoe for players with ambition - and respect for their joints

The Victor C90 NitroLite is not a racehorse. It's a castle on your feet. Great for players who prioritize comfort, cushioning, and sturdy support over high-speed acrobatics.

If you want to feel protected and pampered while still looking like you know what you're doing – the C90 might just be your new throne.
